U.S. researchers published the results of Scientific Research Work in the journal Current Directions in Psychological Science on the nature of human tears.
Psychologists analyzed tests 3000 volunteers, in which they described how they wept. As a result, it became clear that, as such use crying all depends on the circumstances - that is, on how and when it happened.
The majority of survey participants reported that after crying it became easier and approximately thirty percent said that crying did not bring them relief, and another ten per cent of participants reported that they learned from crying even worse. Psychologists point out that it became easier primarily to those who found the response and sympathy from others. Also, in a published study suggests that crying is extremely useful in terms of physiology.
Careful study of the physiological mechanisms of weeping led psychologists to conclude that it causes relaxation and slow breathing. Last few compensated while sweating and tachycardia, but the relaxing effect weeping quickly neutralize them. Just for this reason that people usually remember mostly pleasant relaxation after sobs.
The study authors concluded that there is a category of people who just cry contraindicated. These are people with various affective disorders and increased anxiety - they bring tears just burdening internal state.
