Personality rights in social networks, despite the widespread view, not much different from his personality in real life, say U.S. psychologists.
In the study, psychologists came to a surprising conclusion, since the view that people use their profiles to produce a more favorable impression of himself, is widespread. However, the results showed that the profiles in social networks broadcast almost the exact images of their owners. This is either because people are not trying to look better than they are, or because they are trying to do it, but they do not succeed, say experts.
In the study, experts have studied 236 college-age profiles of the United States and Germany. They conducted a survey among the study participants to gain insight into their real personalities, and in fact, what they would be ideal. Some personality traits include extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness and neuroticism. Also in this study, observers studied the online profiles of members and tried to assess their personality.
As a result, it was found that online profiles are best reflect the level of extraversion - a willingness to interact with other people. Most likely, the ability to accurately express his personality helps the popularity of social networking on the Internet, scientists believe. This allows profile owners to give other people know what they are, and, thus, meet the basic needs to be known to others, as well as learn about other people.
