Alcohol May Reduce Men's Heart Risk


Daily consumption of alcohol in moderate doses reduces the risk of heart disease in men by more than one-third part, writes the BBC.

Spanish researchers conducted a study in which the voluntary participation of 15 thousand men and 26 thousand women. It turned out that alcohol can be very useful for the health of men, women, unfortunately, this effect does not apply. Men who consumed alcohol were the incidence of cardiovascular disease is much lower, experts explained. The study was published in the journal Heart.

However, experts in the field of cardiology set was very critical about this, because alcohol abuse leads to other diseases and is responsible for 1.8 million deaths annually worldwide.

The study was conducted in Spain, a country with a relatively high level of alcohol consumption and low rate of coronary heart disease.
